Attaching the eyepiece is a straightforward process – simply match the white line on the eyepiece with the white dot on the bayonet fitting, insert the eyepiece into the body, and rotate clockwise a ¼ turn until it clicks into place and aligns with the indicator line.

Mounting the Viper HD on a tripod or car window mount is equally easy. Secure the tripod mount foot on a quick-release plate or directly into the mounting plate receiver of certain tripod heads. The tripod foot attaches to the support with a 1/4" x 20 screw thread.

Adjust the magnification by turning the magnification adjustment ring clockwise to increase the power and counter-clockwise to decrease it. After setting the magnification, refocus the image by slowly rotating the focus dial until the subject is in sharp focus.

The adjustable eyecup on the Viper HD allows you to observe the full field of view, whether you're wearing eyeglasses or sunglasses. Fully extend the eyecup for the best viewing experience without glasses.

The tripod mounting collar can be loosened by turning the thumbscrew counter-clockwise, allowing you to rotate the spotting scope body to a comfortable viewing angle. Secure the preferred position by tightening the thumbscrew clockwise.

The extendable sunshade effectively blocks out disturbing stray light, shields the objective lens from mechanical damage, and guards against soiling by fingerprints and precipitation.
